Good People! Join us on Sept 7th for our monthly open mic at the Piston. Doors and sign up are at 7pm, the feature will play half an hour and the open mic starts at 8pm. Admission is FREE! Sign up is first come first serve, so come early and you can choose when you want to play. Performers get two songs as long as there’s time. If it gets too busy as the night rolls on, we will go down to one song each so we can get through the list. As always, there is a full back line of amps, drums, keys, house instruments and a pro sound engineer, so we can accommodate pretty much any musical situation. Miss Kleio's soundscapes are a masterclass in tension and release, weaving together driving, hypnotic polyrhythms and chest-pounding beats that command the dancefloor. Drawing from the raw energy of vintage rave culture and the gritty soul of Detroit techno, Miss Kleio’s signature hypnotic hardgroove sound is a time machine to the underground’s golden era, yet firmly rooted in the now.
A sought-after selector, Miss Kleio has shared stages with heavyweights like Patrick Mason, Sama Abdulhadi, Skin on Skin, leaving her mark on iconic events such as Electric Island.
But Miss Kleio’s impact extends beyond the DJ booth. As a co-founder of TECHNOIR Collective, alongside Mission Control (fka Jackie Spade) and Zola (fka Kika) she is at the forefront of a movement to amplify queer DJs of color and marginalized voices in electronic music.
In September 2024, Miss Kleio unveiled her latest project, BODYCLOCK, a monthly, queer-centric techno sanctuary at Toronto’s legendary Piston. More than just a party, BODYCLOCK is a community-driven celebration of techno’s unifying power.
